Mario Chalmers

Indios de Mayaguez (BSN) inked experienced 35-year old American 188cm point guard Mario Chalmers (college: Kansas). Chalmers played last summer at 3's Company (Big3) in the U.S. The last season he played at Aris in Greek A1 where in 22 games he recorded 10.5ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.2apg and 1.5spg.
In 2008 he was drafted by Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) in second round (34th overall). He attended University of Kansas and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Chalmers is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Italy (Virtus Segafredo Bologna), NBA (Miami Chalmersat and Memphis Grizzlies), Greece (AEK Athens) and Big3 (3Headed Monsters).
Among many awards he won Basketball s League championship title in 2019. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Basketball Champions League 2nd Team in 2019.
His game is described as: The steal of the 2008 NBA Draft.. has a great scoring ability, good court sense and can play either guard spot, but the true surprise was how well he can defend on NBA level opponents.. showed also a great personality and hes yet able to quarterback well the Heat offense.. needs to learn a lot yet, but understands the game and works hard vevery day .. upside is huge ...
